The Journey of a Deafblind Patient

Font Size ยป Large | Small

Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust have commissioned FACS to provide six months of deafblind training for all their staff. These one-day workshops combine theoretical and practical knowledge of deafblindness, and will develop in staff the necessary skills and awareness to address the unique needs of their deafblind patients.

The workshop covers the impact of the Equality Act 2010 on health care providers and demonstrates how an acute teaching hospital such as BSUHT can monitor their own compliance with these regulatory requirements.
